Cedar Grove is a collection of modern cottages nestled within the woods of Cashiers, North Carolina. Designed to integrate seamlessly with the natural landscape, the project embraces the serenity of its setting while providing a refined yet contextual retreat.
Each cabin is conceived with careful attention to materiality, drawing from locally sourced stone and natural woods complemented by charred black siding. This palette creates a cohesive architectural language that feels rooted in place.
Generous windows, terraces, and thoughtful spatial layouts ensure a continuous connection to the outdoors, allowing nature to be experienced from every corner of the cabins. The result is a dwelling that blurs the boundary between inside and out.
Balancing comfort and modernity, the cottages are efficient and functional in their design while offering a sense of understated luxury. Cedar Grove redefines the mountain cabin as a contemporary dwelling that honors its environment while elevating the experience of living within it.
